GeauxMuscle Privacy Policy

Effective: October 21, 2026 (replaces the version of October 10, 2026)

GeauxMuscle is published by Singularity USA LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company based in Sterlington, Louisiana.

GeauxMuscle is a strength-training app for Apple Watch and iPhone. It counts your reps from the motion of your wrist. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches and where it goes. The short version: your data stays on your devices. We don't run a server, the app makes no internet connections of its own, and we never sell data or use it for advertising.

What the app collects

Motion data. While you record a set, your Apple Watch captures wrist motion (acceleration, rotation, and orientation) 100 times per second. This is how the app counts reps and recognizes exercises. Recordings are saved as files on your watch, sent to your iPhone over Apple's encrypted watch-to-phone connection, and stored in the app's private storage. Each recording also notes the watch's battery level, model, and software version at the start and end of the set, so the app's battery use can be measured; like the rest of your recordings, it stays on your devices unless you export it. Detailed motion data like this can reflect how you individually move, so we treat it as sensitive.

Apple Health data. Only with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time in the Health app:

App Reads from Apple Health Writes to Apple Health What for
Apple Watch Heart rate, active energy Workouts During a recording session (your heart rate is shown on the watch), and to save each strength session as a workout in Apple Health.
iPhone Resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, VO2 max, active energy, steps, exercise time Nothing To show these numbers on the app's Command screen, with a simple score averaged from your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and last night's sleep.

That score is a rough summary of your own numbers. It is not a medical assessment and not advice about how hard to train. The app does not read clinical health records.

Health data is only read and displayed. It is never written to files, never combined with your motion recordings, and never sent anywhere. Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing of any kind, consistent with Apple's rules.

Video (optional, analyzed on your device). If you pick a workout video from your Photos library to check a set, the iPhone app tracks your body's position frame by frame using Apple's Vision framework. If the clip was shot in Cinematic mode, the app also reads its depth data to estimate your height, so your avatar is drawn at your real size. Reading depth requires Photos library access, because only the original recording contains it; the app asks for that only when needed, and the temporary copy of the original is deleted as soon as its depth has been read.

The app keeps a copy of the video you picked in its private storage, next to the recording it belongs to, together with the body-position track and the height estimate, so the video can play beside your rep count. Deleting the recording deletes all of these. Body tracking sees everyone in frame, including other people and reflections, so film without bystanders. Nothing from a video is uploaded.

3D body models (optional). If you import a 3D body model (a .usdz file) from the Files app, the app keeps a copy in its private storage to draw your avatar. It is never uploaded.

Home exercises (optional, the PT tab). If you use the PT tab to follow a home exercise program from your physical therapist, the app stores your program, the sets you log, the pain ratings you enter (0 to 10, before and after exercising, and whether your pain was back to usual the next morning), each time you press "Stop – it hurts", and the note you write for your therapist. This is health information. It is kept only in the app's private storage on your iPhone and is never combined with Apple Health. If you count a set from a video, you pick the video yourself; the app tracks your body in it on your iPhone, keeps only the number of reps, and deletes its own copy of the video straight away (the original stays in your Photos library). Your therapist cannot see any of this through the app. The "Report for my PT" button makes a PDF of your log on your iPhone, and it leaves your phone only if you send it yourself, for example by email, Messages or AirDrop. The app never sends anything to a clinic.

Audio. GeauxMuscle does not use the microphone. During the watch's calibration routine the app can speak short cues through the watch speaker or your headphones; nothing is recorded.

What the app does NOT do

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, no data sales, no cloud storage run by us, and no internet connections of its own.

Where your data lives, and how it leaves

Your recordings, videos, body models and home exercise log live on your watch and iPhone, and are included in your own device or iCloud backups like any other app data. Data leaves your devices only when you export it yourself with the app's share buttons (for example, AirDropping your recordings or a body-position file to your computer, or sending the PT report to your therapist). What you do with exported files is up to you. They contain your detailed movement data or, in the PT report, your pain ratings, so share them thoughtfully.

Deleting your data

Delete any recording from the app's recordings list; its video, body-position track, and height estimate are deleted with it. Delete the PT tab's log (sets, pain ratings, stops and your note) from its Program screen. Delete the app to remove everything it stores. Health permissions can be withdrawn in the Health app, and workouts the app saved to Apple Health can be deleted there.

Children

GeauxMuscle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If a future version of the app changes any of this (for example, by adding optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated first, and any new use of your data will ask for your specific permission before it happens.

Not medical advice

GeauxMuscle is a fitness app, not a medical device. Its numbers (rep counts, the Command screen's score) are estimates to help you train. They are not meant to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and they are not a judgment of whether it is safe for you to exercise. The PT tab only logs the program your physical therapist gives you: it doesn't choose exercises or doses or judge your form, and its pain-based stop message is a prompt to contact your therapist, not a diagnosis. If something hurts, stop and talk to a qualified professional.
