Alex Rushing

Hi, I'm Alex, a 26-year-old powerlifter from Monroe, Louisiana, with 13 years of experience in the sport. Competing in the drug-tested USA Powerlifting (USAPL) federation, I've achieved personal bests of a 722 lb squat, 606 lb bench press, and 650 lb deadlift. My achievements include two state championships, three top-five national finishes, and a 1,923 lb total at my most recent competition. Along the way, I’ve gained expertise in strength training principles, programming, and coaching strategies, which I love sharing to help others improve.

I'm coached by Butch Dunn, a renowned powerlifter with national and world collegiate titles, and part of a family of champions. His son Jordan won the IPF World Junior Championship in 2012, and his son Christian holds multiple Louisiana high school state records.
